Background: 

Born on December 25, 2349, Saina was the youngest of three sisters, but older than her two brothers.   She quickly became a well trained telepath, with some telekinetic capabilites.   She was an impressive student throughout her school years, and eventually became an EAGLE, only to retire two years later, at the age of 23, for a more fulfilling career helping people as a member of the Stagnorian Coast Guard. 

Because of her experience she quickly went through the ranks, and, at the age of 27, was awarded the command of  her own ship.  At the age of 31 she was credited with making first contact with the race known as the Ocampa... eventually leading to a time-consuming battle against the race known as the Kazons.  Currently the Ocampa, and several Kazon Factions, are considering joining the Confederation of Allied Worlds.

At the age of 35 she won several quick victories over advancing Borg Forces as leader of the Coast Guard- Fleet Reserve Forces.  Two years later her ship, as well as 2 others were destroyed when the Borg began a massive campaign, taking several systems and holding them for hours before finally being pushed out by Stagnorian Naval forces.

After that incident she was given command of another ship, the SSS Explorer, as well as command of the Coast Guard Garrison on New Edinburgh.  It was a way of making sure what was happening in the Delta quadrant didn't spread.
