Starfleet Liaison
Character Name: Micheal T Morrision
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Height: 6'1" Weight: 210 Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
Personality:
Michael Morrision is friendly to all those around him, committed to assisting his shipmates and fellow colonists. Although he tends to personally keep to himself, Morrision is extremly outgoing when it comes to trying to be a valuable member of the team. Trustworthy, he is always willing to help a friend. Honor bound, he is also willing to sacrifice his life for those of his friends. In a crisis, Morrision is very commanding and serious, yet with an eye always keyed to morale. Also, although he denies it in all circumstances, he does have a desire to face danger. His greatest character fault is that of keeping to himself, tending to bottle up his emotions rather than express deep emotional feelings. He also is somewhat secretly on the hopelessly romantic side (and somewhat aggressive), not that he would want a large portion of the crew to find out. Otherwise he is somewhat outgoing, and always ready to express his opinion and thoughts on more professional, team-oriented topics. This sometimes might lead him into deep in-depth, yet friendly, arguments on the diplomatic front.
History:
Although most officers are to take mandatory retirement, Morrision was offered the opportunity to serve with the diplomatic corps. After assisting in the negotation of a permanent peace settlement, Morrision was offered the chance to serve at any installation of his choice. Selecting the farthest colony he could find, and somewhat disappointed at never being able to serve on a Starbase again, he chose New Edinburgh, hoping to find some degree of action and adventure there. Starfleet was actually glad to be rid of him, as his outgoingness never did quite fit in with the diplomatic corps. Instead he was assigned as Star Fleet attaché, to ensure that the Governor and her local government were operating within the Federation character and the Prime Directive as well as to assist in Star Fleet operations on the colony. This of course naturally brings him in conflict with the fiercely independent governor, who isn't particularly interested at having someone advise and assist her at every moment, let alone raise concerns, and also not to mention the Stagnorian overseers... for sometimes he forgets that New Edinburgh is, in fact, a Stagnorian colony and not Federation.
